Queensland's premier Surf Sports event - the XXXX GOLD Premiership Series hits the Sunshine Coast this weekend at Kawana Surf Life Saving Club!

3.00 pm Open Female Taplin Relay
3.15 pm Open Male Taplin Relay

The point system, combined with the talent and skill of Australia's top surf sports athletes including, Shannon Eckstein, Zane Holmes, Kristy Munroe & Kristy Cameron ensures exciting competition at every round.  Aproximately 800 Competitors!

Featuring Events such as ironman, ironwoman, board races, ski races, as well as beach sprints and flags not to mention the prestigious team events.

Last year's Series saw current Australian Champion, Kristy Cameron of Northcliffe take out the coveted Ironwoman title, whilst Mooloolaba's Steve Meredith successfully won his first Ironman Series.

Kawana Surf Club is the home of Zane Holmes who could be Iron Man again, get out there, support our Local Surf Clubs, and cheer as they take on the might of the Gold Coast Clubs!

From under 15's to the Ulitimate Iron Man, 2 days of thrilling racing, water, and beach events with some of this countries top athletes, many of them from here on the Sunshine Coast.

The Nippers will be running their Food stall, so grab a burger & drink off them while you sit on the beach with your friends and family for an exciting day out. 

Finals start around lunchtime on Sunday, and at around 3.00pm after the final event, Uncle Bob's Jug Band will kick off in the club so you will have entertainment too!

It's the last round before the Championships so get out there and support our locals!
