The Tewantin Neighbourhood Group of the Australian Sewing Guild Inc (Guilded Lilies Sewing Circle) will be meeting on Saturday, 26th July 2008 from 9am to 3pm at the Masonic Hall, cnr of Toolar and Moorindil Street, Tewantin. This month, members will be sewing children's clothing for Orphanages and items for sick children in hospitals. Bring your sewing machine and lunch, materials will be provided but if you have any children's clothing patterns please bring them along.
Neighbourhood group meetings are informal get togethers where members bring their sewing machine and learn various aspects of sewing either from other members, or an organised workshop, where a specialist is invited to either demonstrate or instruct members on a specific project, so that a balance between dressmaking and other forms of sewing are covered.
When asked what the members like most about the Guild, the response is always the same: "The sharing of knowledge and skills, the education and creativity each month, together with the wonderful camaraderie and lasting friendships amongst the members."
If you will like to visit or join the Tewantin Group please phone Barbara on 5474 2454 for more information
