SEWING NEWS Sharing and furthering the art of Sewing in Australia. The Tewantin Neighbourhood Group (Guilded Lilies Sewing Group) of the Australian Sewing Guild will be holding an: OPEN DAY Saturday 28th September 2013 10 am to 12 pm Masonic Hall, cnr Moorindil & Toolar Sts Tewantin Qld 4565 Admission Free There will be displays of sewing items made by the members also demonstrations of machine and hand sewing. Listed below is some of the displays and demonstration: v Overlocking v Garment sewing v Applique v Quilting v Embroidery v Smocking v Crochet v Cowl necklines v Embellishing machine v Invisible zips v Sewing Library v HOW TO JOIN THE AUSTRALIAN SEWING GUILD The group meet on the last Saturday of every month in a friendly environment and explore both basic dressmaking and decorative sewing techniques.

The meeting times are 9 am to 3 pm, members bring their lunch and sewing machines and morning is provided. A variety of workshop are organised throughout the year.
