The award-winning Sunshine Coast Concert Band will get locals swinging to the sounds of Sinatra, Michael Buble and the classics of Glenn Miller at their Showband dance to be held at the Kawana Community Hall in Buddina on Saturday, July 14 from 7:30pm.
The band, led by Musical Director, Ken Chadwick has been hosting dances for years and they have become a regular fixture on the calendar for those who want to get out and enjoy old favourites such as the foxtrot, modern waltz, jazz and, of course, rock and roll.
"People on the coast don't have many opportunities to put their dancing shoes on and by providing the music and venue we have no doubt it will be well supported and everyone will have a great time," said Ken
The magic of Ken Chadwick and the forty piece staged Sunshine Coast Concert Band featuring Senior Idol winner David Staygall and singers Bev Gourlay and Tanya McFadyen with compere Geoff Malcolm will provide a great evening of entertainment and dancing.
The Sunshine Coast Concert Band dances have proved incredibly popular in the past and organisers recommend tickets are purchased ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
The evening which is BYO and costs $15 per person, tickets can be arranged by contacting Val on 5450 6680. The Kawana Community Hall is off Pt Cartwright Drive in Buddina.
