Great Family Fun, Great Value and Great Music
- some of the big free community Noosa Jazz Festival events -
This year's Noosa Jazz Festival, from 1 to 4 September, has lots of family friendly special events to entertain Noosa and visiting families over the Fathers' Day weekend.
"Get out in this magnificent weather with your family and friends into a sea of traditional jazz, modern funk and blues with four days of non stop entertainment for all age groups," said the event organiser, Linda Jedynak.
"Most of the 30 participating restaurants offer free entry so you have the opportunity to enjoy Noosa's famous fare while you witness world class jazz musicians in intimate venues for free or for a fraction of the capital city cost where you'd normally catch such talent," Linda said.
"What's very special about our festival is that it promises great fun and great value for families, for jazz enthusiasts and even for those who just like to enjoy this great time of the year in Noosa, with most door venues ranging from $5 - $20," she said.
"This year's festival will feature 160 passionate and vibrant national and international artists offering 90 individual opportunities to see them in action."
"Along with over 30 participating restaurants, we have three free outdoor concerts, not to mention over 450 school students to blow you away with their amazing talents in a two day Youth In Jazz Program."
Program highlights include 'Soul What' all the way from Budapest; the ever-popular James Morrison and Emma Pask at Berardos; Motown's legendary Gil Askey; the stylish Sheraton Ball; King of the Ivories David Paquette formerly from the US and now residing in NZ; Wildrice, Ed Wilson and George Golla from Sydney; Shuffle Club and Peter Gaudion from Melbourne; James Flynn from Perth, Jazz River Cruises and much more.
For those who just want to get out and about with their family and friends, Linda highlighted some of the big free community Noosa Jazz Festival events
