The Majestic's 14th Annual Silent Film Festival brings you an exciting range of films from drama to comedy, so you're sure to find something you'll love.

Our refurbished theatre includes a café, fully licensed bar, and candy counter. The café will be open for lunch or dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

New to this year's program is our exciting opening night celebration, and our scrumptious Morning Tea and Comedy mornings. We look forward to seeing you there!

" Battling Butler"

Tuck into our delicious scones as Buster Keaton's character is mistaken for the boxer "Battling Butler". He carries on with the deceit and embarks upon a crazy training regime, complicated by the arrival of the true contender!

2pm - " Spiders - The Golden Sea"

An exotic adventure which was the inspiration for the Indiana Jones blockbusters.

In the first of this 2-part tale, directed by Fritz Lang, millionaire Kay Hoog goes to Peru in search of Incan treasure. The world-wide crime syndicate "Spiders" learns of his plans & mount a rival expedition to reach the treasure first! And so a thrilling chase ensues…

A bold Arabian adventure starring Douglas Fairbanks as a carefree pickpocket who turns his mischievous thievery toward the attainment of happiness ...  and an exotic Princess. 

A thief falls in love with the Caliph of Bagdad's daughter. The Caliph will give her hand to the suitor that brings back the rarest treasure after seven moons. The thief sets off on a magical journey while, unbeknownst to him, another suitor, the Prince of the Mongols, is not playing by the rules...

Enjoy a sumptuous morning tea followed by a series of short comedies featuring Buster Keaton, Harry Langdon, Laurel & Hardy, & The Keystone Cops.

2pm - " Hangman's House"

Forced by her mean-spirited father to marry a man she doesn't love, Connaught O'Brien (June Collyer) gives up hope of ever being with her true love, Dermot McDermot (Larry Kent). But once her father dies and a rebel leader returns to town (Victor McLaglen), she has a renewed hope that she may find true happiness again.

The Majestic Theatre in Pomona is holding its 14th Annual Silent Film Festival from the 14th to the 16th of November.  Featuring a weekend full of fantastic silent films from the 1920s, all accompanied by the superb theatre organ, this unique festival is not to be missed! 

The opening night event includes a 1920s dress up theme, drinks and canapés and the well-known classic "Oliver Twist" starring Lon Chaney, all for only $20pp!  There are 3 different sessions on the Saturday and two on Sunday.  Both morning sessions include a scrumptious morning tea and slapstick comedy film, the afternoon sessions feature lots of adventure and drama, and the highlight of the weekend is the stunning epic "The Thief of Bagdad" on Saturday night. This bold Arabian adventure stars the mischievous Douglas Fairbanks as a thieving pickpocket who turns his attentions to the attainment of an exotic Princess.

Guests can dine at our café for lunch or dinner throughout the weekend, and enjoy fulfilling home-cooked meals at a very reasonable price.  The theatre also features a fully licensed bar and candy counter.
