Art Gallery unveils exhibition to ignite arts educators

The Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is about to unveil the second biennial art exhibition which encourages art educators out of their classrooms and into their studios.

Aimed to ignite art teachers' arts practice, Squeeze '07: Re-ignition, will be officially opened by 2007 Archibald finalist David Poulson on Friday 13 July at 6.30pm.

Squeeze '07: Re-ignition includes a variety of individual and creative artworks by educators from all sectors as well as local professional arts industry workers.

The aim of the exhibition is to assist teachers to reignite their passion for making art and not just teaching art.

A valuable part of this year's Squeeze event was the lead-up workshop presented by Poulson. The workshop helped to fire-up the group for the exhibition.

The exhibition is on from 11 July to 12 August 2007.

The Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is located at 22 Omrah Avenue, and is open Monday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
