The Sunshine & Cooloola Coasts StandBy Response Service is a community based program that provides a 24 hour coordinated crisis response to assist families, friends and associates bereaved through suicide in the Sunshine & Cooloola region.

Suicide is a time of immense crisis and the tragedy of suicide can create trauma deeply affecting individuals, families and entire communities. In many cases those bereaved by suicide do not know where to turn for help or how to find support that may already exist. The StandBy Response Service provides a reliable single point of contact coordinating existing services to enable an immediate response and ensure bereaved people are linked to vital pathways of care.

To further strengthen those pathways and enhance our partnerships, StandBy is hosting a "Partnerships to Care & Crossing the River" Suicide Bereavement Workshop at Kenilworth on Thursday 26th February. Please see the attached flyer for information.

This free workshop is appropriate for all agencies, community groups and individuals interested in actively supporting people bereaved by suicide through a coordinated local community response.
