A Little Night of Music

FOUR of Australia’s brightest stars are set to light up the stage in a special fundraising event on the Sunshine Coast next month for children’s charity MontroseAccess.

The big names lined up for ‘A Little Night of Music’ at Buderim include Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent, dynamic musical theatre performer, Chelsea Gibb, renowned song and dance man, Dale Pengelly, and the very versatile Patrice Tipoki.

Their entertainment backgrounds span a wide variety of genres and each will bring their own, stunning musical style to this one-off performance.

Mark Vincent’s deep, rich voice and heart-felt television performances instantly won him legions of fans across the country in 2009.

He has since released four albums with a fifth due for release in May, and has appeared on stage alongside the late Whitney Houston, Katherine Jenkins, The Priests and Kate Ceberano.

Chelsea Gibb has conquered TV, film and starred in major national and international theatre productions, with leading roles in Chicago, Anything Goes and Get Happy.

She has appeared on numerous Australian television programs, including Good Morning Australia, The Lost World, and All Saints, made her film debut in the Warner Brother's movie, George of the Jungle 2 and landed the role of Vicky Tremelli in the Australian film Josh Jarman.

From classical ballet on the national and international stage to starring in musical theatre’s mega-hits, Dale Pengelly has done it all in his 30-plus year career.

Dale partnered with Rosetta Cook for the Queensland Ballet, performed in Hot Shoe Shuffle in London’s West End, and his extraordinary list of stage credits include the roles of Johnny O’Keefe in Shout!, Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz and Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain.

The very talented Patrice Tipoki has charmed audiences with her performances on stage, screen and as a member of ‘Girlband’, who had their own TV show on Channel 10, toured Australia with The Rogue Traders and TV Rock and even launched their own clothing range.

On stage, Patrice has notched up performances in theatre classics such as Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, Westside Story, The Lion King, We Will Rock You and most recently, the hit musical Wicked.

MontroseAccess Fundraising Manager, Leanne Liesegang, said she was thrilled that each artist had made time in their busy schedules to participate in ‘A Little Night of Music’ for the charity, which provides therapy and support for children with disabilities.

Leanne said all four were world-class performers and to see them together would be a rare opportunity for Sunshine Coast music lovers.

“Any one of this incredibly talented group would be a huge drawcard and MontroseAccess is privileged to have them all performing in our fundraiser for local children with disabilities,” she said.

“I am sure it will be a fantastic night and we expect it to sell out quickly, so I urge people to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
