What business can learn from sport...

Fresh from a keynote speaking role at the recent International Women in Sport Conference, Liz Hanson will inspire members and guests of the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network when she shares her perspectives on what business can learn from sport and the most vital lessons she has learned in the 'adventures of her career' to date.

June's networking breakfast and AGM will be held on June 8 at the Maroochydore Surf Club and SCBWN President, Sue Willis, believes members will enjoy hearing about the Client Director of Athlete Assessments very interesting and diverse journey

"From growing up in a small Queensland town, to being awarded the University Medal, to valuing mines on the outer islands of Indonesia, to becoming a straight-laced Finance General Manager for an international gas company, to establishing and growing a national training  company, to running away to a life on a boat, to settling in Maroochydore and starting an expanding sports consultancy and internet business...This is the life of our speaker for this month's networking breakfast," said Sue.

"Liz is an entertaining and dynamic speaker who ensures your day starts with energy and enthusiasm and offers practical actions to make a difference to your career, business and life!"

As Client Director at Athlete Assessments, Liz is responsible for the management of their key consultant relationships and the marketing to new sports coach clients.  Her slogan is 'when our clients are successful, we are successful too'.

Athlete Assessments works with coaches and athletes (and consultants who work with coaches and athletes) who want to reach consistently higher levels of performance in their sport. With the online Athlete Assessments profile, coaches access ways to better communicate with and motivate their athletes and gain knowledge of limiting and strengthening behaviours. Most importantly, coaches and athletes identify their sporting behaviours that produce their best performances.

The breakfast is proudly sponsored by Sunshine Coast TAFE and will commence at 6:30am for a 7am start on Tuesday, June 8. Bookings are essential and close at 11am on Wednesday, June 2.  Call Chelsea on 0412 525 854 to reserve your place.
