Concert to benefit special school
The Sunshine Coast Concert Band will host a concert on Sunday, March 8 at the Kawana Community Centre to raise funds for the Nambour Special School.
The band's concerts continue to attract music lovers from across the coast and this time guests will soak up the sounds of singers Bev Gourlay, Tanya McFadyn and Aart Schouten. The concert titled 'chasing the blues away' will be compared by ABC's Cam Young.
"The event promises to be a fun afternoon made even more rewarding in knowing we can make a contribution to the Nambour Special School," said Ken Chadwick, Musical Director of the band.
"This is our first concert for 2009 and we look forward to giving a great performance to start our concert calendar for the year."
Tickets cost $10 and include afternoon tea. This is a great way to support the local communities with family and friends and the funds raised are greatly appreciated by the Nambour Special School.
