Next Thursday, November 3rd 6pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Theatrette Building, you are invited to attend the Presentation by Cr Vivien Griffin and architect, James Birrell (jnr) who will be outlining a possible future light rail transport vision for the Sunshine Coast.  They will emphasize the environmental benefits from having light rail in the right place, with well planned development alongside it, as they believe that only by doing so for the development hotspots in the Maroochydore to Caloundra corridor, will Noosa be able to protect its much loved population cap into the future.

According to Cr. Vivien Griffin, “There are 250,000 good reasons why Noosa residents should support light rail for the Maroochydore to Caloundra corridor”.  All are welcome to attend and to hear more about this proposal which aims “to reduce urban sprawl, reduce car dependency and create self-contained desirable places in which the ever increasing population can live work and play, while retaining agricultural and environmentally valued land”.

Is this the way ahead?  What are the possible implications for the Noosa region?  Don’t miss this special presentation.  Visit for more information.
