Mums the word at the first Sunshine Coast Mumpreneur's Expo!
Over 300 mums in business from across Queensland have been able to live their work/life balance dreams thanks to the Mumpreneur's Expo.
The challenges of raising a family and running a business suddenly became a little bit easier when the Expo was developed, implemented and launched by event organiser , Lee-Anne Johnson over a year ago.
We have been able to help mums in business---build their business-thanks to the networking opportunities the expo presents. It's great to see each of our exhibitors generate referrals as a direct result of the Mumpreneur's Expo --- it's our ultimate goal, Lee-Anne said
Initially developed to promote mum entrepreneurs, small business owners and party planners, the event has rapidly grown in it's presence across Queensland with expos being held in Townsville Cairns and the Sunshine Coast, the Expos and subsequent fundraisers were a great vehicle in which to deliver a dual bonus to the local communities, helping mums in business and raising money for the community.
The Expos are designed to raise funds and help the community, while helping mums in business promote their home businesses and build exposure, Lee-Anne said.
In 2011, thanks to a host of expos, charity auctions and a variety of fundraisers, Lee-Anne aims to raise $5000 across the year while expanding the Mumpreneur's Expo into the state's region.
