The Duporth Tavern will be hosting the Sunshine Coast’s biggest game of two-up this ANZAC day in a bid to raise funds for the Kawana RSL Sub Branch.
Two-up is a traditional Australian game of coin tossing and is customarily played on ANZAC day to commemorate the Diggers. All proceeds from two-up game at The Duporth Tavern will be donated directly to the Kawana Returned Services League Sub Branch.
Owner of the Duporth Tavern, Clayton Williams, asks everyone to come along in support of the cause. “As a locally owned and operated tavern, we are actively involved in the community right throughout the year. ANZAC day is an especially important historical occasion, and is chance for us to both remember and support the men and women who served our country.”
The Duporth Tavern wants to create a day of both reflection and celebration. As well as two-up, the tavern will have live music from 2pm by local artists and will be playing footy on the big screen.
