School Holiday Fun

Friends of Maroochydore Library in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, presents a recital by the Sunshine Youth Orchestra at 2.30pm on Wednesday 25 September to entertain families these school holidays.

Join Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra, Musical Director Maria Salmon as she talks about her role as Director and provides information about joining the orchestra. The talk will be followed by a recital by members of the orchestra to showcase their talents.

Maria Salmon is a dedicated string teacher who has spent her career developing string programs for students in the many schools and countries that she has lived.  

The Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra is the community’s premier youth orchestra for youth which draws talented musicians from across the region.

For a gold coin donation avid music lovers will be entertained by Maria’s interesting stories and a divine recital performed by members of the orchestra.

Afternoon tea will be provided therefore bookings are essential by visiting council’s library website or by calling your local library on 1300 542 727.
