On Saturday 4th April, in the main hall of Noosa & District High School, Cooroy Rotary will be holding an exhibition of how we may have a more sustainable lifestyle saving water, energy, and local jobs and last but not least saving money.

The exhibition will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

"Sustainable Cooroy" will be a snapshot of the businesses and services available in Cooroy and the surrounding hinterland.

The exhibits will include --
Living Smart, Eco-Bus, Land for wildlife, Bush care and Weed control.
[Sunshine Coast Regional Council initiatives]
Noosa Biosphere
Energy efficient lighting.
Rain Water Tanks - plastic and metal, Pumps and tank care.
Native endemic plants for water saving gardens.
Mulching and mulching machines.
Composting bins.
Worm Farms.
Solar Electricity and Solar Hot Water.
Home Insulation.
Environmentally friendly home cleaning products.
Hybrid Cars.
"Green" Finance.
Carbon Footprint Calculators.

Households will be asked to volunteer to be involved in the EPA's initiative the "Low Carbon Diet", reducing carbon emissions at home.

Cooroy Rotary has been assisted in mounting this event with the aid of a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency's ClimateSmart Living Community Funding Program.
