The annual "Cat Challenge" is held this weekend 6th & 7th November
at Lake Cootharaba. This race series gives sailors on all different
catamaran sailing boats the chance race off to see which designs are
faster. The race series attracts international champions and sailors
from all over Queensland to come and compete. The race series also
gives sailors the opportunity to race off with same Class boats as
well. This is great preparation for sailors in their National training
With the predicted winds we are set to see some colourful spinnakers flying on the F18 classes, which will be clearly seen from the beach. If you want to talk to some real sailing experts you can catch up on the beach or join us in the sailing club for an evening BBQ meal from 6pm.
So if you're looking for something to do this weekend head out to Boreen Point.
