Bad To The Bone But Good For The Soul
George Thorogood’s famous song “Bad to the Bone” is good for the soul for fans of the high energy boogie-blues performer. The Australian George Thorogood Show was created in 2011 to feed the souls of Thorogood fans and has been delighting audiences ever since. The show consists of a support act of Eddie and the Cruisers followed by The Australian George Thorogood Show.
Lead singer Ray Stevenson has the gift. You can close your eyes and swear that George Thorogood is standing in front you singing. Similarly, during the support act he is an exact mimic of Eddie Wilson from the movie Eddie and the Cruisers. The backing band is phenomenal with lead guitarist, Duncan; bass player, Kirstie; drummer, Monstar; keys player, Peter; and sax player, Katrina all putting on a show that you would expect from a group of dedicated full time musicians.
In the Eddie and the Cruisers act you will hear songs like Running Through The Fire, Some Like it Hot, Garden of Eden and On The Dark Side from the sound track of the movie. Following up with the George Thorogood Show, you’ll hear hits like Born to Be Bad, Treat Her Right, Get A Hair Cut and of course, Bad To The Bone!
Come down to Tewantin Noosa RSL and enjoy the bbbBad to the Bone bluesy tunes of The Australian George Thorogood Show on Friday 6 November at 8pm. Tickets are just $10 for non-members and free for members. Tickets and courtesy bus bookings can be organised at reception or by dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
