A festival of the senses that promises to be a day you will never forget.
SATURDAY January 19 2008
Wouldn't you just love a little more joy in your life? Time to laugh, be happy, let loose and have some fun.
How about connecting with others in the community that would also like to share a little joy around?
The Awaken to Joy festival to be held on Saturday January 19 is a day of unity in community to help you raise your vibration and feel good.
Organised as a not-for-profit community day by a local group of alternative therapists, Awaken to Joy spokeswoman Tracee Lee Helm said the goal is to get everyone together to sing, dance, laugh and be happy and experience the joy of connection.
"It is a non-religious event with activities designed simply to uplift, enlighten and transform you," she said.
"Everyone is welcome - big and small. There will be a native wishing tree and we are encouraging everyone to write a wish for the Noosa community and hang it on the tree which will later be planted at the J centre."
Other activities on the day will include a drumming circle with Aaron, Tracee Lee and Bec, a Laughter Yoga Circle with teachers Julie Ainscough and Terence Charles, and drawing codes of Universal Law with Ajhania.
There will also be a Sacred Crystal Ceremony with Wave of Love creator Simone Mathews, an Innocent Heart Activation with Ishtahlia, learning and working with colour presented by Julie Pretyman of Kaleidoscopes, a Weaving the Divine dance circle with Oriya, a body energy Sphere Circle with Amenti, working with the divine union of the masculine and feminine presented by Jagquie and Kel, and Healing the Heart circle with Ishtar.
Janet and Carolyn Dhus will be holding an angelic circle, which is designed for big and small kids to create an angel mandala on the day that will also be donated to the J.
The idea is to come for the whole day or just to spend a few hours and allow yourself to experience something new and to have a bit of fun in each of the circles.
Throughout the day there will be free face painting and a meditation sand labyrinth to walk.
Entry is by donation, light refreshments will be available, children are welcome.
The opening ceremony will begin at 9.30am and the closing ceremony will be at 4pm.
For the full program and times contact the J Centre, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Junction on 5455 4455.
