Location: Noosa Council Chamber Meeting Room, Tewantin,
On Tuesday and Wednesday next week (May 29th and 30th) Noosa Council will mark Local Government Week by staging a display of some development proposals that (fortunately we believe) did not make it into reality, bricks and mortar.
Environment and Planning Director Raul Weychardt has put together notes (plans, drawings) on ten proposals that may have significantly altered the character of our Shire, including an eight-storey building approved for Hastings Street in 1969 - an edifice that could have set Noosa on the path to high rise.
The plans will be displayed in the Council Chamber meeting room on the top floor of the Council Office in Pelican Street, Tewantin - open to the public between 10 am and 3 pm each day. Do come along and see what might have been -- all welcome!
