'The Gathering' is directed by local musicians Tony Potter and Jason Castle, "we realised there is a serious lack of quality community events on the coast and thought it was time that the region had festival of it's own. We have a fantastic venue for 'The Gathering', a large grass area, trees and close to public transport and camping grounds. A true green field event on the coast for all ages, a party on the grass with no glass", said Director Jason Castle.
The festival has been established as an annual event since 2004 and with two successful events to date has maintained integrity throughout its growth. "We have remained dedicated to cultural diversity and artistic excellence - these are values 'The Gathering' relates to", says Tony.
