In the weekend workshop you will learn practical methods to help you be happier and more at peace. You will gain insights into what really causes you conflict and suffering, and how to transform these.
This workshop on September 26 and 27 is held at Chenrezig Institute in Eudlo – an oasis in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The resident Tibetan monk Geshe Phuntsok Tsultrim will led this workshop.
The Buddha called these teachings The Four Noble Truths. It presents a clear view of reality and offers practical methods of working with your mind to transform your own life.
Just like diagnosing and treating an illness, The Four Noble Truths reveal that our mind creates problems such as pain, dissatisfaction, fear and unhappiness, and by understanding the root causes of this suffering we can also overcome it.
The workshop teacher Geshe Tsultrim is a very warm and engaging Buddhist monk with a vast knowledge of the Dharma. He was born in Tibet in 1969 and joined the Sera Je Monastery in India at age 14, achieving his Geshe degree (the equivalent of a doctorate in Buddhist studies) in 2005.
The Heart of Buddha’s Teachings: The Four Noble Truths course runs from 9am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, 26-27 September.
Bookings are essential and the two-day course costs $110, with a 10% discount for Chenrezig Institute members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals are available separately.
