The Needlework and Calligraphy groups of the Buderim Craft Cottage
The Power of the Needle and the Pen,
an exhibition and sale featuring the beauty of ink and thread.
Open for all from Saturday 15th July (9-4) and Sunday 16th (10-2), this exquisite exhibition will feature works from the talented fingers of members of both groups. Some of the members will be working on their pieces during the weekend to give visitors an opportunity to see 'works in progress'.
Needlework will include stump work, tapestry, bargello, cross stitich, candlewicking, beading, silk ribbon work and a host of other types as well as a delightful selection of bears and dolls. Many treasured heirlooms have been taken from the camphor wood chest to go on show, as well as work done by members when they were children and embroidery was a compulsory part of the school curriculum. You are sure to see a vast improvement in their work!

The calligraphers show just how beautiful simple words can look. They have worked wondrous things with ink blending their craft with the needlework in this unique exhibition.
Entry is only a gold coin and devonshire teas will be available. The exhibition will be held in the Atrium Gallery of the Buderim Craft Cottage, 5 Main Street Buderim - set back from the road between the Buderim Memorial Hall and St Marks Anglican Church.
