Ashley Hay “The Railwayman’s Wife” ‘Love, War and how Thomas the Tank Engine came to my Rescue’. Ashley Hay has recently published The Railwayman’s Wife, set on the south coast of New South Wales in 1948. Her characters are strong and recognizable, the story emotionally compelling and the style poetic.
