The Sensitive New Age Cowperson's Greatest Hits Tour

The Sensitive New Age Cowperson's Greatest Hits Tour stops off in Nambour for one performance only on Thursday 10th August at 8pm at the Nambour Civic Centre.

SNACS deliver an irresistible mix of mirth and musicianship, from their Golden Guitar-nominated epic medley from 'The Sound of Music' and Stan Pede's hilariously romantic 'Love is Lovely', to their classic 'Daddy Wore a Mullet' and both their Australian National Anthems.

SNACS spokescowperson, "Calamity" Jim Fisher, said "the tour will be a beauty:… hot banjo picking, even hotter harmony singing and not quite so hot bodies".  According to "Calamity", the band is a unique mix of "originality, jingoism and something else".

The "something else" is well known to the tens of thousands who've admired the SNACS since they formed a decade ago - very, very hot bluegrass playing, droll Aussie humour and, in the case of bassperson Stan Pede, a smouldering sexuality that makes a Shane Warne text message look like a vote for Australian Idol.

The SNACS recently caused an upheaval in the music scene with the release of their compilation album, "Other People's Greatest Hits".  An angry Robbie Williams has accused the SNACS of "single-handedly bringing a music era to a close - bluegrass style" with the release of the album on June 23rd (or, as Williams calls it, "the Day the Music Died").

"These guys come along with their funny hats and banjos and suck fifty years of music dry. There's nothing left to do. I can't even drag out my Elvis impersonation any more!" he wailed.

This will be a performance that will have the audience toe-tapping and belly-laughing as SNACS deliver classic rock songs with great original material all bluegrass style.

Tickets are $25 and are available from the Nambour Civic Centre phone 5475 7777.
