SMART MARKETING WORKSHOP FOR GYMPIE SMALL BUSINESSES
Small Business Minister Chris Cummins is encouraging Gympie small business owners and operators to attend a Smart Marketing workshop at the Gympie Pines Golf Club, 2 Shields Street, Gympie, on Wednesday 30th August.
Mr Cummins said the workshop costs $22 and would run from 6 - 9pm.
"The Smart Marketing workshop will offer advice to business owners about strategies to dramatically increase sales, gain market share from competitors and have their business recognised in the commercial world," he said.
"The ability to maintain a strong link with your customers and to stand out from competitors is the driving force behind any thriving business."
Smart Marketing workshop participants will:
Learn the different approaches to attracting new customers and retaining existing customers;
Be able to implement cost effective ideas for marketing their business, their products and themselves;
Be able to use marketing skills and strategies to gain an increased turnover in their business;
Be aware of the need to obtain more knowledge of marketing; and,
Be advised of programs that are available to improve their skills.
Mr Cummins encouraged local small business owners to contact the Maryborough State Development Centre to find out more about the range of other planning and support services and products on offer.
"The Beattie Government has invested significant funding in the local region to support small business growth and job creation," he said.
"We offer a range of funding programs, as well as workshops and business coaching because we know that small business is driving regional economies."
