The SUNCOAST SINFONIA goes from strength to strength, with some wonderful programmes and ecstatic audiences since it was established in 2002.  It provides an excellent standard of orchestral music and draws widespread critical acclaim for its brilliant soloists and thrilling ensemble playing.

Conducted by Graeme Young and led by acclaimed musical identity Julie-Anne O'Reilly, the Sinfonia's concerts feature a combination of well-known and attractive music, each one highlighting the talents of one or two superlative soloists.  The inclusion of some lighter music in each concert and some crowd-pleasing encores always adds to the fun!

The first concert in the 2006 series will celebrate a special year as the Sinfonia honour musically the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  This concert features principal bassoonist, Neil Heymink, in the early but charming concerto, composed in Mozart's late teens and finishes with two of Mozart's greatest compositions!

The Suncoast Sinfonia will be performing at the St Mark's Anglican Church in Buderim on Sunday 5 March at 2.30pm.

Tickets are on sale at Maroochy Venue & Events - phone 5475 7777 or in person at the Nambour Civic Centre.  Tickets include afternoon tea.  There is a special discounted price if you subscribe to all three concerts.
