TIMBER SCULPTING AT THE BELLINGHAM MAZE
The Bellingham Maze tourist attraction is very excited to be participating in the Maroochy Botanic Gardens Sculpture Symposium from Saturday 24th September to Sunday 9th October 2005.
Artist and Sculptor Jason Flynn from Totem Art will be creating timber sculptures on site at the Bellingham Maze every Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 2.30pm during the symposium.
Themes for the timber sculptures at the maze include a huge 2 metre tall minotaur - the half bull, half man creature that resided in a labyrinth from the ancient Greek myth. Fairies, gnomes and similar creatures will also be sculpted from timber throughout the living hedge maze every weekend during the symposium.
Lavazza coffee and Devonshire teas are served daily at The Bellingham Maze and visitors to both the maze and the Botanic Gardens are always welcome to call in for refreshments.
If you're planning to visit the Bellingham Maze, located on the Tanawha-Forest Glen Tourist Drive at Tanawha, just 2 kilometres from the Botanic Gardens, phone 5445 2979 for more information
