Community Event held annually show casing the local seafood industry

The Tin Can Bay Seafood Festival is a full day of family entertainment, free activities, music, food, cold and hot seafood and other assorted delicious things to keep you going. Various activities and competitions are held throughout the day.

The focus of the event is the Fisherman's market offering delicious local seafood including coconut prawns, salt and pepper calamari, King Prawn rolls, fish bites, crabs, bugs, lobsters and seafood platters. 

Uncle Bobs Jug Band, Cook Island Dancers, belly dancing and music will keep your toes tapping while wandering along looking at the fishing information, sand sculptures, the kite flyer's and market stalls dotted amongst the parklands.

A must do on the day for adults is enter the mullet throwing and prawn eating competitions, while the competitive children can have a go in the mystery fish toss.  To keep up the excitement don't miss seeing the Red Claw Races or buying a ticket in the boat, outboard and trailer raffle.

Another popular attraction is taking a helicopter joy flight over the beautiful Tin Can Bay. Camel and pony rides, Twister, skate board competition and much more for the children while Ree Tae Kwon-Do and Dog obedience demonstrations,  the the Big Screen, Beer Tent, motor bike and veteran car displays appeal to the parents.

Great food, good fun and a Boat and Trailer raffle drawn at 4.00 p.m. make this one of the best family fun days on the Sunshine Coast between Noosa and Hervey Bay.
