Highlighting the work of eight progressive Australian artists who breach traditional boundaries in ideas, methods and materials of glassmaking, the Tour de Force exhibition brings new focus to the medium of glass, particularly the conceptual branch of the practice. Masterfully crafted and exquisitely realised, this provocative exhibition celebrates artistic integrity and is set to challenge and inspire a new generation of studio glass artists. Curated by renowned glass rebel Megan Bottari,
Tour de Force is not for the faint of heart.
A joint project by artisans and Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, the exhibition is toured by Museum & Gallery Services Queensland with support from Visions of Australia, an Australian Government program and the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian Government and state and territory governments.
