Double your fun with Toy Story 1 and 2 at Flicks in the Sticks
Movie lovers will be seeing double at Eumundi's outdoor cinema "Flicks in the Sticks" with the next screening a double feature of "Toy Story 1" and "Toy Story 2" this Saturday 10 April.
"We're so excited about screening our first movie double with Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2," says Flicks Director Steve Beardsley.
"Both movies were smash hits when they were released -- parents and children alike -- so this double screening is sure to appeal to everyone"
"With the great weather that we've been having lately, what better way to celebrate the last weekend of the school holidays than by sitting with the family under the stars and enjoying a couple of real classics," says Steve. "And with Toy Story 3 due for release shortly, what a great way to remember two much loved movies that set the standard for movie animation."
The Eumundi Showgrounds gates will open to moviegoers from 5pm, with the screening starting around 6.30pmish. BYO rug, chair or blanket, with beanbags available for hire.
A full candy bar will be in operation with all the usual goodies, as well as hot meals including gourmet hot dogs, curries, and Mediterranean mezze plates.
"The cost for the movie double is only $10 per person, and it's free for children under three years of age," says Steve. "The price also includes a glow light and a packet of Smarties. It's the best value night out on the Coast!"
Flicks in the Sticks is at the Eumundi Showgrounds, a secure family-friendly venue at the Cooroy end of Memorial Drive, Eumundi.
Flicks in the Sticks will also be screening 'The Lighthorseman' as an ANZAC Day fundraiser on Friday 23 April and 'Chocolat' for Mother's Day on Sunday May 9.

A bit about the movies...
Toy Story 1
When Toy Story 1 was originally released in 1995, it dazzled audiences with its technology, as it was the first feature film to use only computer generated imagery. It fully exploited this technological advance to the max to tell its tale with great humour and conviction.
Cowboy doll Woody (Tom Hanks) is coordinating a reconnaissance mission to find out what presents his owner Andy is getting for his birthday party, days before they move to a new house. Unfortunately for Woody, Andy receives a new spaceman toy, Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) who impresses the other toys and Andy, who starts to like Buzz more than Woody. Buzz thinks that he is an actual space ranger, not a toy, and thinks that Woody is interfering with his "mission" to return to his home planet.
Woody tries to lose Buzz and retain the affections of his owner, but they are both captured by Sid - the toy destroying neighbour. Aided by Sid's mutant toys Buzz and Woody escape, only to begin another reconnaissance mission to prepare for new toy arrivals. As Woody wonders what could be worse than Buzz, a bark is heard downstairs...
And Toy Story 2...
This cleverly crafted sequel, originally released in 1999 maintains the charm of its predecessor and is exceptionally entertaining.
Toy Story 2 retains all of the main characters from Toy Story 1. While Andy is away at summer camp Woody has been toynapped by Al McWiggin, a greedy collector and proprietor of "Al's Toy Barn" who steals Woody in order to cash in by selling a complete set of toys to a Japanese museum
In this all-out rescue mission, Buzz and his friends Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Rex and Hamm springs into action to rescue Woody from winding up as a museum piece. They must find a way to save him before he gets sold in Japan forever and they'll never see him again!
