'Go Bush' this spring in SEQ parks and forests
Join a Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) ranger on a 'Go Bush' activity in south-east Queensland parks and forests this spring and discover the wonders of nature first-hand.
QPWS Ranger Cheryl Thomson said the ongoing program offered opportunities to enjoy activities only Queensland's national parks and forests could provide.
"Check out what's happening in your south-east Queensland parks — you'll be amazed at what's out there," Miss Thomson said.
"This spring you can learn about native bees and our spectacular birds of prey at Brisbane Forest Park or explore the diversity of the rainforest at Noosa National Park.
"You can join a birdwalk at Springbrook National Park or look for nocturnal animals on a spotlight walk at Daisy Hill Conservation Park or the Glass House Mountains National Park.
"Explore an ancient stand of cycads thriving as a result of fire at Brisbane Forest Park or learn about bush food, medicine and tools from a Gubbi Gubbi guide at Noosa National Park.
"School holidays are full of fun activities at various locations around Brisbane, the Gold Coast and right here on the Sunshine Coast."
