Come along and secure your number plates against theft.
by Constable Susan Lowndes

Beerwah Neighbourhood Watch with the support of the Beerwah Lions are holding a Turn the Screws event at Glasshouse Mountains State School on Saturday June 18 from 9am to 11am.

Come along and have non-reversible screws fitted to your number plates free of charge by our team of volunteers.

Stolen number plates are regularly used by offenders in an attempt to conceal their identity when committing further criminal offences, including house breaking and stealing offences.

Using non-reversible screws prevents theft as the screws can only be removed using a special tool.

If you need to remove the number plates at any time contact your local police station.

The event is made possible through funding from Neighbourhood Watch Queensland.
