Why are you should attend & support this event!
With already 2 very successful fundraising years under our belt, we are gearing up for yet another year.
We raised over $6,000 year 1 and $4,000 year 2 for the Nambour Special School from which they were able to purchase a specially designed interactive whiteboard, and other needed Therapy Aides which have already been making a remarkable impact on some of our gorgeous special needs kids. If you could see the kids using them you would understand the excitement of seeing them communicate in ways not ever seen before and therefore I would love to be able to purchase more for them. They cost around $8-10,000 each Talk about a success!!!
I have a special-needs son, Bayden, who attends Nambour Special School for which I am holding the fundraiser on 17thNovember 2011 further details of the fundraiser are outlined below and I am writing to request any assistance your company may be able to offer in the way of donations for goody bags or raffles. Any donations would be so very gratefully received as community support for our special needs kids makes a huge difference to their quality of life.
Firstly, a little more about my son. Bayden born with a condition called Microcephaly which is a neurological disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Nystagmus, ASD, Sensory input issues and Scoliosis. While Bayden is mobile and generally a happy and joyful child, he is unable to do any day to day living activities such as feed himself, dress himself or toilet himself. Of course we love him dearly and do everything we can for him because he is our child; however the teachers and carers who help children such as Bayden do so out of immense empathy and compassion for these children. The aim off this fundraiser is to purchase as many interactive whiteboards as possible and other therapy material for the children.
The special movie fundraiser will be held at the Birch, Carroll and Coyle Maroochydore cinema (Sunshine Plaza) and feature an advanced screening of the soon to be released sequel in the “Twilight Saga” which is called “Breaking Dawn Part1”.
Assistance is required in providing donations for the goody bags which will be on each seat as well as donations for the raffles. All funds raised will be donated to the Nambour Special School.
Your generosity would be greatly appreciated and we would love to display your company logo at the event and help you gain public exposure for your efforts in support these special children.
