Aims of the conference: To promote community awareness about the debilitating effects upon those who have experienced childhood abuse and trauma and the need for ongoing support, and to hear professional speakers talk about ways to transform and heal the experience.
Dr Patricia Sherwood: (PhD, BA, Grad Dip Special Education, Grad Dip Counselling, Grad Cert Artistic Therapies, Advanced Dip Holistic counselling, Dip Buddhist Psychotherapy, Dip Systems management). Dr Patricia Sherwood, among many things, is the director of academic programs at Sophia College, which focuses on holistic counselling, artistic therapies and Buddhist psychotherapy. She is a dynamic teacher, trainer and speaker who has had over 20 years experience working with survivors of abuse and has developed an innovative model for working with client experience of sexual abuse.
Lynette Gordon: (Award-winning Writer, Speaker, Metaphysical Teacher and Practitioner, Celebrant and Filmmaker). Lynette has spent over 30 years studying and teaching Metaphysics - the Great Laws of Life at the heart of all spiritual traditions. Lynette's warmth, wisdom and humour make her a popular speaker and workshop facilitator. She has worked with local and international women's, transformational and spiritual organizations, small businesses and corporations translating the Great Laws of Life into practical knowledge and tools for success. Lynette is a lecturer in Metaphysics and Celebrancy at Nature Care College, Sydney. She leaves people inspired and aligned with their own great source of Love, Wisdom and Power."
Dale Martin: (Registered Psychologist). Dale Martin is a registered psychologist with 25 years of clinical experience. He is a member of the Australian Pain Society, College of Clinical Psychology and Australian Association of Buddhist Counsellors and Psychotherapist. Dale specializes in: Chronic Pain management - Mindful Pain Management/Anxiety Disorder +PTSD/Depression Management/Relationship Issues/Grief and Loss Issues/Anger Management/Mindful Weight Management/AttachmentDisorders.
