The University of the Sunshine Coast, in association with CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia are delighted to invite business people in our region to attend the August USC Business Professionals' Forum on Thursday 20th August at 5.30pm. These events are designed to allow business people in our region the opportunity to hear a high profile guest speaker address an issue of relevance plus allowing time for networking among members of the various professional bodies and industry groups attending.

Topic: "Regulating in a Changing Environment".
Maree joined ASIC in late 2005, and was appointed ASIC Queensland Regional Commissioner in September 2008. Previously she was a Specialist Director within ASIC's enforcement area, with three national portfolios of corporate governance, professional standards and insolvency. Before joining ASIC, she was a partner in two national accounting firms and specialised in corporate insolvency and reconstruction. Engaging with Queensland stakeholders relevant to ASIC's regulatory role is an integral component of Maree's role as Queensland Regional Commissioner and she attends regular stakeholder liaison meetings throughout the state.
