Warren Blee, mayoral candidate for upcoming local elections, has said
that over the next few weeks his focus was on meeting the community in
small venues across the Sunshine Coast to "discuss issues relating to
the upcoming Council elections" and share his vision in "building a
culture for positive change".
Mr. Blee, who was awarded the 'Medal of the Order of Australia' on Australia Day for his commitment to the growth of the community via the pharmacy profession and youth development over forty years of his career said he "wanted to take the time to listen to the community's concerns and demonstrate how, through relevant planning and organisation, the Council could address the very real issues of jobs and lifestyle"
Mr. Blee said he would be hosting "simple morning teas, focusing more on real communication with real locals, from the Coast to the Hinterland". He said the morning teas would give an opportunity for him to "listen to the people, discuss policies and answer questions"
He is hosting his first morning tea on Wednesday 1st February from 10am-11am at the Tewantin Masonic Centre, Corner of Moorindil and Toolar Street, Tewantin.
This will be followed by tea meetings in Maroochydore, Coolum, Maleny, Pomona, Nambour, Kenilworth and Caloundra, with more venue and locations to be announced.
Mr. Blee is announcing upcoming morning tea opportunities via the blog on his website www.warrenblee.com
