Have you ever wondered why when thing goes wrong we say why me, but when things go right we don't? According to Buddhist philosophy, everything we experience is influenced by our karma -- our previous physical, verbal, and mental actions.

At this free public talk by Western Tibetan Buddhist nun Thubten Chodron look at what karma means in our everyday lives and how we can stay mindful of our thoughts, motivations, and actions to avoid more suffering.

Bikshuni Thubten Chodron is renowned for her down-to-earth explanations and practical advice on how to change our day-to-day lives based on fundamental Buddhist techniques. She is also is the author of many books including Buddhism for Beginners, Working with Anger, and Open Heart, Clear Mind. She studied under His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other Tibetan masters before she founded and became the abbess of Sravasti Abbey in Eastern Washington State, USA.
