RSL Girl in a Million entrants urge Queenslanders to wear a Poppy with pride this Remembrance Day
Queensland RSL Girl in a Million entrants are currently moving their fundraising activities into high gear as Remembrance Day approaches this Friday 11 November.
Quest entrants are currently selling red poppies in the lead-up to Remembrance Day at local shopping centres and various locations throughout the state to raise funds for Queensland veterans.
"We're encouraging Queensland communities to get behind their local entrants and show their support by purchasing a Red Poppy to wear on Remembrance Day," said RSL Girl in a Million Quest State Coordinator, Mrs Natalie Levien.
"Remembrance Day is when we pause on the 11th hour, 11th day of the 11th month to honour all Australians who have served in all conflicts, and the funds raised from the sale of red poppies will assist the RSL to continue to provide vital care for Queensland veterans.
The RSL Girl in a Million Quest is now in its 47th year.
