• How to identify 'dodgy' links or attachments, particularly in emails and on social networking sites.
• What is cyber-bullying? What impacts can it have? How to identify it. What your options are if you, or someone you know is experiencing something online that makes you/them feel uncomfortable or threatened
• When and what you should, and what you shouldn't post online - photos, financial or personal information about yourself, your friends or family• How to set boundaries for your children and staff when it comes to online activities
• How to talk within your family and business about good online safety
• The importance of installing and renewing your security software regularly
• What your options are for adjusting privacy settings on social networking sites
• Where to access information and resources related to cyber safety

At the event we'll also be showing a short film called 'Cyber Sin'. The eight and a half minute film written and produced by Peregian Beach filmmaker, Evette Henderson boasts legendary actor John Jarratt (Wolf Creek, MacLeods Daughters) and is endorsed by Australian Suicide Prevention Foundation, ACT for Kids, Beacon Foundation and The CorriLee Foundation.

Cyber Sin was developed as a way to educate and encourage youth to further develop their conscience and do the right thing by making educated choices when communicating via social networks online, mobile phone and the like.
