Who Sank the Boat?

Patch Theatre Company's Boat Sets Sail!

Patch Theatre Company's wondrous, theatrical story-fest Who Sank the Boat?, adapted from eight of Pamela Allen's most-loved children's books, will set sail on a five-month, thirty-four venue tour of Australia in June this year.

Using a host of inventive theatrics incorporating puppetry, operetta, mime, dance and live music, Who Sank the Boat? has performed return seasons at the Odeon Theatre in Adelaide and the Victorian Arts Centre in Melbourne and a three week sell-out season at the Sydney Opera House, playing to around 35,000 children and their families in its short history.

Patch Theatre's critically acclaimed repertoire of theatre productions for 4 - 8 year old children and their families has been carefully crafted over many years by artists dedicated to developing quality theatre for children.

"African drumming, wooden flutes, a cappella harmonies, puppets, dance, movement and simple narration brought the stories to life… Wonderfully crafted and directed, this is the kind of theatre all children should see." - Vanessa McCausland, Sydney Daily Telegraph

"A theatre piece with real charm and imagination". - Murray Bramwell, The Adelaide Review.

"Best Physical and Visual Theatre 2001" - Helpmann Award Nomination

"An extraordinarily, inventive and enchanting show". - Lenny Ann Low, Sydney Morning Herald.
