"Winter Warmers" Concert

The Sunshine Coast Concert Band will provide a lively and varied program of scintillating music on Sunday 18th July and 2pm in the Coolum Civic Centre. This annual concert raises funds for Pastor Shane Brigg and the Coolum High School Chaplaincy Fund which gives support for students at the school.

Under the baton of Music Director Ken Chadwick OAM, the "big band" sound will be featured in tunes such as "76 Trombones", "Tijuana Brass" and the "William Tell Overture", as well as the Dixieland style in "Smoky Mokes".   Well known trumpeter Todd Wynyard will play "Side by Side' with his son Josh, and a flute ensemble will feature  the hauntingly beautiful "Cavatina".  Accompanying the band are singers Alan Winter, Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten in songs such as "Come fly with me" "The Stockrider's Song" and the duet "All I ask of you". The Coolum State High School Choral group will also perform, and the compere will be Neville Biggs.

This concert showcases many different styles of music and is sure to delight the audience.

Admission at the door is $10 which includes a wonderful "home cooked" afternoon tea.
