David Low way re-opens for Triathalon

Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson has welcomed news of progress on fixing the David Low Way at Coolum which will temporarily open both lanes for the Mooloolaba Triathalon.

Ms Simpson said the Main Roads Department had advised that the road will be open to 2 lanes over the weekend although from next week there will be single lane closures from Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm while the repair works are finished.

"The Department advises that crews will remain on site until late April while the final stages of repair are finished." Ms Simpson said.

"The public is encouraged to use the Sunshine Motorway as much as possible to alleviate possible congestion on David Low Way."

Ms Simpson congratulated the work crews for the great job doing during trying weather conditions and also thanked local residents for their patience.
