Anyone who has ever made the move into retirement can tell you: there comes a time when the looming excitement gives way to a steady stream of sometimes difficult questions.
To help conquer what can be a challenging time, Lendlease Retirement has brought back its successful ‘Discovery Series’ for 2017.
The series’ 15 free events will feature six expert panelists answering the many niggling questions that come with getting older – from downsizing the family home, navigating village contracts and staying healthy into older age.
Queensland will see four events featuring expert panelists and speakers, including: the happiness guru Dr Tim Sharp, ABC TV’s Catalyst present Dr Caroline West, who is a leader in health and wellness and acclaimed Australian actor and promoter of community living, Rob Carlton.
All panelists will be joined by local leaders from fields across financial advice, real estate and retirement living.
General Manager of Lendlease’s QLD Retirement Living business, Ann Holzer, said the discovery series is the perfect chance for anyone with questions about retirement.
"The Discovery Series offers people in retirement the chance to seek answers and inspiration from sometimes complex questions from people who are Australia’s experts in this field”, said Ms. Holzer.
“It’s also a nice opportunity to meet other like-minded people at a similar life-stage and get a free tour of the village,” she said.
The Discovery Series will see the remaining 12 events hosted across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. All events are free, but bookings are essential and can be made by calling 1800 550 550 or online at www.discoveryseries.com.au
