The chance to win an internship with leading designer Karl Donoghue in London has four TAFE Queensland East Coast fashion and design students working feverishly to seize the opportunity.
The Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology students are currently working on their final design collection to be unveiled at Vemödalen, TAFE Queensland East Coast’s fashion show in November.
Vemödalen will feature original designs from the four graduating students of 2015, giving these extraordinary designers the opportunity to launch their label to local businesses in the fashion industry.
The Winner will be awarded at the event with a prestigious internship with Karl Donoghue to work alongside some of the biggest fashion designers in the world.
The young and upcoming designers have been dedicated to completing their collections for the last two years so they have the opportunity with Karl Donoghue, which will give them the chance to not only learn from him, but be fully immersed in the realities of the industry and give them a launching pad for an international career.
The Name Vemödalen was chosen for its unique meaning - the fear that everything has already been done. This relates directly to the fashion industry and how new trends evolve from old trends.
The Fashion Show is proudly supported by The Good Bar and TAFE Queensland East Coast.
