First of December is traditionally when the Christmas decorations come out with stars and angels abundant.  At Tewantin Noosa RSL the decorations will be up but there will also be stars and angels of another type in the Diggers Bar from 8pm with The Killer Queen Show, a tribute to the greatest stars of all time Queen.

Lead man, Johnny Blunt is said to have his own personal angel sitting on his shoulder, in the form of the spirit of Freddie Mercury.  Johnny founded Killer Queen in 2003 when he decided to pay homage to the greatest rock act of all time.  Add a hot band of Queensland’s best session musicians, a wardrobe of detailed and exactly replicated costumes, a stage presence second to none and you have The Killer Queen Show.

Johnny Blunt’s eerie resemblance to Freddie Mercury is the final icing on an incredible, melodic cake. Layer together an astounding band that uses no backing tracks, a guitarist using a Brian May signature guitar, and authentic costumes and the final result is Killer Queen.

The Killer Queen Show starts with the hits of the 1970’s – the decade of leather and long hair and goes right through to the 80’s and 90’s when Queen was the hottest act in music.  This show will not disappoint, with such immortal rock hits as Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and of course, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Killer Queen has developed its own fan base throughout Australia and overseas as they have toured extensively. They have been featured on Channel 9, played unplugged sessions on 4KQ and 4BC, featured in a two page spread in Woman’s Day and have appeared at the Big Gay Day & in the third season of Australia’s got Talent.   And they call Queensland home being the only Queen Tribute show in the Sunshine State.

If you’d like to catch this amazing show, tickets are only $20 for non-members and $10 for members for their Friday 1 December show at 8pm in the Diggers Bar of the Tewantin-Noosa RSL.  Tickets are available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766. Make sure you grab your tickets soon as this show will sell out!
