What a year for the Walk to School program

2017  saw the Walk to School Program involve over 600 children walking to school on a weekly basis.  This year we had clowns, pipe bands, Constable Clancy and our champion netball team, Sunshine Coast Lighting participate in the walk to school program.

The Buderim Lions Walk to School initiative involves the schools of Brightwater, Siena, Chancellor Park, Buderim and Mooloolaba which participate each week.

It’s a great way for students to start their day with some light exercise and to meet up with their friends from the local area.

It also assists in reducing traffic congestion in and around schools at high peak time.
