Nestled between Conondale and Kenilworth at Cambroon, Yabbaloumba Retreat is evolving as one of the premier private event and wedding properties within the Sunshine Coast region.

After being Named Queensland’s Top Retreat by Stellar Stays, owners Barb & Lloyd Campbell set out in 2016 to share the retreat with an even wider audience by adding an extra seven rooms to the properties existing four luxury cabins and officially launching their purpose built function space “The Shed”.

Barb said, The additional rooms added have allowed for bigger groups to exclusively use the property and make a weekend of it, whether it be family reunions, birthday celebrations or an alternative wedding venue.

“We offer something a bit different to other venues, it is a weekend experience for couples and their loved ones to relax and enjoy the property and the local area. We sleep 26 and welcome other guests of the couple to camp or glamp in deluxe tipi tents and join in the festivities.

On January 13 & 14, 2018 Yabbaloumba will open its gates to the public from 10.00am to 3.00pm each day to showcase all the property has to offer for those planning an event or wedding in 2018.

Barb said that an array of suppliers will be on hand from celebrants, florists, photographers and cake makers for prospective couples to meet. The Shed will be bursting with inspiration and ideas and a caravan bar and tipi tent set up outside the venue will inspire wedding plans.

“Couples looking at the property on the 13th and 14th January are in for some great deals from suppliers attending the open day with many giving away packages and we will have a $500 cash back prize on offer,” Barb said.

In the past two years Yabbaloumba Retreat has gone from hosting a couple of weddings a year to having over 25 couples secure the Retreat as their chosen location to swap vows in 2018.

Barb said that the increase in demand for weddings could be attributed to the properties idyllic setting offering couples numerous locations to have their ceremony, photos and reception due to the upkeep of the grounds and ease of facilities provided.

“We teamed with L&L co. Events to ensure that our brides have access to wedding planners who also take care of all logistical matters and assist on the day with coordination & staff.

“This has made Yabbaloumba all the more appealing to Brisbane and interstate couples, knowing that they have someone they can trust to assist in planning and delivering a wedding that suits each couples style and budget without compromising on quality,” Barb said.

Award winning Yabbaloumba Retreat continues to cement itself as an industry leader with additional prestigious Stellar Stay awards from Hotels Combined, Trip Advisor, Expedia and Booking.com.
