Run by local volunteers, the Chamber of Commerce provides a vast array of services to the community and looks much further than the immediate business community providing services for businesses, residents and visitors.

The website, Cooroy – Heart of Noosa Country Facebook page, Cooroy Community Happenings Facebook group and the popular Cooroy App were all developed and run by the voluntters of the Chamber.   Each year they also publish the Kurui: a printed guide to Cooroy. These valuable resources provide a host of information about Cooroy and what is happening.

In addition to creating high quality resources and guides for Cooroy’s residents and visitors, the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce also holds several major community events each year including :

  • The Australian Body Art Festival in April which attracts thousands of visitors from around Australia to see world class body painting and enjoy some amazing art over two days.  More information on this festival can be found at
  • Pink Precinct Fun Trail in October which raises funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation
  • Christmas in Cooroy in December - a free community festival that offers fun free entertainment, rides, and competitions that attracts over 10,000 people each year. They also decorate town including the most beautiful tree in the region!  To find out more about the Christmas in Cooroy festival visit

Cooroy Chamber of Commerce also runs dedicated networking nights, dinner meetings with guest speakers and community meetings on topics relevant to the businesses and residents of Cooroy, as well as hosting the annual Dinner with the Mayor event with the Mayor of the Noosa Council.

The Chamber has been successful in obtaining hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to improve the town including funding for 30 CCTV cameras which provide direct feeds to the Cooroy Police Station and have been instrumental in reducing and solving crime in the town.

The Cooroy RV Stopover at Mary River Road is also run by the volunteers at the Chamber and it offers up 40 van spaces for self contained RVs providing a place to stay in the heart of Cooroy for thousands of visitors each year.
