Cooroy Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank

Cooroy Community Bank® (11)

The Cooroy Community Bank® Project began in 2001 when another bank closure in town sparked outrage amongst local residents‚ and prompted the community to contact Bendigo Bank about possible community bank options within the area.  There was strong community support and the branch in Cooroy was officially opened for business on 18 November 2002.

This was the first Community Bank® Branch opened by Sunshine Coast Community Financial Services Limited (SCCFSL) and Tewantin and Marcoola Community Bank® Branches were opened in 2003 and Pomona Community Bank® Branch was opened in 2017.

Bendigo Bank Community Bank® branches are committed to supporting projects within the local area.  Just by banking with any of our branches you can help turn projects into reality.

When you choose to be a Bendigo Bank Community Bank® branch customer, you not only make a decision that benefits you, you also make one that benefits your community.  That's because with every product or service from a Bendigo Bank Community Bank® branch, part of the profits go back into our communities to support local projects, groups and organisations.  To date we’ve put over $700,000 back into the Cooroy & hinterland community.
